Squadra Solutions is a cybersecurity and IT infrastructure integrator headquartered in McLean, VA. We are not a reseller. We own the full chain: identify the need, scope the solution, close the deal, and deliver it. Our OEM partnerships span Palo Alto Networks (Diamond Partner, 13+ architect-level certifications), Cisco, CrowdStrike, Armis, Tenable, Splunk, Juniper, Infoblox, and others.

Our federal civilian client base includes the IRS, DOE, DOT, State Department, Library of Congress, DOJ, FBI, DEA, USAID, and CJIS. We are a founder-led organization generating $50M+ annually, with federal civilian representing the largest share of our current revenue mix. We are investing in growth and this seat is part of that build.

--- THE ROLE ---

We are hiring a Sales Account Executive to drive revenue in the federal civilian sector. This is a full-cycle, individual contributor role. You own the deal from prospecting through close, and you own the account relationship after award.

You will carry a defined book of named federal civilian agencies, drive net-new logo acquisition alongside expansion in existing accounts, and operate at the CISO, CIO, and contracting officer level. You report to Travis Wiley, Federal Sales Director.

Squadra's federal book is currently cyber-heavy with infrastructure attach growing. The ideal candidate leads with whichever pillar opens the door and knows how to pull the other one in.

--- WHAT YOU WILL OWN ---

Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle for federal civilian accounts, from prospecting to deal closure. Drive net-new business and expand relationships within existing accounts. Maintain an accurate, disciplined pipeline.

Proposal Development: Work with engineering, solution architects, and partners to develop client-focused proposals. Ensure proposals clearly communicate value and differentiation. Navigate contract vehicles and procurement requirements specific to each agency.

Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to federal agency stakeholders at the CIO, CISO, and contracting officer level. Build long-term relationships that drive repeat business and account expansion.

Sales Operations: Manage pipeline using HubSpot (preferred) or Salesforce. Provide regular pipeline status and forecast updates to the Federal Sales Director.

Market Intelligence: Stay current on federal procurement policies, agency funding cycles, cybersecurity mandates (FISMA, CMMC adjacent civilian requirements, Zero Trust Executive Order), and competitor activity.

--- WHAT WE NEED ---

Required:

  • 3-7 years of sales experience in federal civilian markets or technology VAR/integrator sales
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure solutions: you can position Palo Alto and Cisco at a use-case level without a vendor rep in the room
  • Familiarity with federal procurement processes, contract vehicles (SEWP, GSA MAS), and agency buying cycles
  • Experience in a VAR or systems integrator environment where you owned the quote, scope, and margin
  • Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder federal sales cycles involving IT, security, and contracting leads simultaneously
  • CRM proficiency: HubSpot preferred, Salesforce acceptable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Named federal civilian agency relationships: IRS, DOE, State Department, USAID, Library of Congress, HHS, DOJ, FBI, DEA
  • Experience with civilian-specific contract vehicles: SEWP, GSA MAS, Carahsoft CHESS
  • Two-pillar depth: credible on both cybersecurity (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Tenable) and infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, Infoblox)
  • Background translating from DoD into civilian buying motion, if DoD-heavy
  • Active or adjudicated security clearance

You will work with a high-performing, engineering-driven team, have direct access to leadership, and carry accounts where Squadra already has deep trust and expanding scope. Federal civilian is our largest and most established vertical. This is not a cold-start territory.

Squadra offers a competitive base salary and performance-based commission structure tied to commissionable margin, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation details are discussed directly with finalists and are commensurate with experience and quota expectations.
