Grain Location Manager Location: Rock Lake, ND 58365. Position Type: Full Time. The Grain Location Manager leads the operations of a grain facility with a focus on excellence, safety, and service. This role ensures the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of grain while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance. By guiding teams, optimizing processes, and fostering trusted relationships with farmers and community partners, the Grain Location Manager strengthens the cooperative’s reputation, supports producer success, and sustains market competitiveness. Their leadership directly advances the cooperative’s mission to deliver value to member‑owners, safeguard agricultural integrity, and contribute to the vitality of rural communities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 25% Operations Management: manage grain handling processes, including receiving, storing, blending, and shipping grain. 20% Team Leadership: guide, motivate, and support the team toward achieving shared goals. Providing Clear Direction: communicate objectives and ensure everyone understands their roles. Fostering Collaboration: encourage teamwork and resolve conflicts constructively. Leading by Example: demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Supporting Growth: offer guidance, feedback, and development opportunities to team members. Ensuring Results: monitor progress, address challenges, and drive the team toward success. 25% Customer Service: build strong relationships with farmers and customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns. 5% Safety and Compliance: enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations. 5% Inventory Control: monitor grain inventory levels and optimize storage capacity. 10% Facility Maintenance: oversee the maintenance of equipment and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency. 10% Legacy Team Collaboration: work with others in areas outside of the department and assist when needed. Minimum Qualifications 4-year degree in Agri‑Business Management or another business/agriculture related field of study (6‑7‑9 years of related job experience may substitute for education). 3‑5 years of industry experience. 3‑5 years of experience in team leadership. 3‑5 years of experience in Profit & Loss Statement responsibility. 3‑5 years of experience in developing and executing marketing plans. Commercial driver’s license (Class A) or ability to obtain within 30 days. HAZMAT, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements or ability to obtain within 30 days. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to learn business accounting systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications 7‑9 years of industry experience. 7‑9 years of experience in supervision. 7‑9 years of experience in developing and executing marketing plans. 3 years experience as a Grain Location Manager.
