Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Valid state license required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT

Must-Have: Experience in functioning independently within a level 3 NICU and skills to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center.

Description: The position floats between units and requires flexibility in scheduling. Weekends are required every other week according to the contract. The candidate must work autonomously in a NICU environment. Expected patient ratios will depend on hospital acuity. Candidates should have prior experience in neonatal care and trauma situations. Special procedures and equipment familiarization are highly preferred. All staff will be considered variations in staffing for the unit. Additional interdisciplinary support available includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, among others. As part of this role, the candidate will perform various respiratory procedures and emergency interventions. The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot equipment and manage critical care situations. Commitment to working on designated holidays is required, along with upfront scheduling requests. Failure to adhere to scheduling flexibility may result in contract termination. References covering recent work history will be necessary for compliance. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities if required by the position. Providers may receive communication devices as needed to perform duties. Non-compliance with the floated schedule may lead to forfeiture of guaranteed hours. This role involves a variety of patient care responsibilities with a focus on neonatal patients.
