Rewind starts with a proven diabetes reversal and weight loss protocol, led by clinical dietitian coaching and physician oversight. Technology plays a crucial role to make the experience more engaging and accessible. And because diets, clinical programs and apps alone (no matter how good) are not enough, we’re delivering our program through a team and community-driven experience. Role Rewind Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Full-Time or Part-time, Remote) The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD) / Coach is an integral member of the Rewind program, managing the clinical care of individuals with obesity, including those with comorbid health conditions such as type 2 diabetes and prediabetes. RDs steer our members through their weight loss, skill development, community/team cohesion, and motivational journey with Rewind. Each RD completes in-depth individualized nutrition assessments, dietary instructions and individual counseling and education conforming to best practices and evidence-based medicine for the treatment of individuals with obesity. The RD will guide members through a very-low energy diet (VLED) using meal replacements, a transition phase reincorporating conventional foods, and then ultimately reinforce lifestyle behaviors for weight loss maintenance. The RD will have a basic understanding of pharmacologic interventions employed in weight management. Responsibilities You will screen and conduct ongoing comprehensive nutrition assessments for members. You will assist with behind-the-scenes clinical tasks which can include: scheduling prospective and current member appointments, coordinating lab work, triaging clinical patient messages, and transferring health history data to physician notes. Using motivational interviewing, you will partner with members to create behavior goals and action plans that will help them meet their weight goals. You will be responsible for charting all appointments in Rewind’s approved system(s), and communicating directly with patients via email, phone, in virtual meetings, the Rewind app, and EMR messages. You will work with members to problem-solve any challenges, and emphasize learning moments to reinforce behavior changes. You will recognize the varied needs of specific populations, including cultural, religious, and ethnic considerations. You will meticulously chart nutritional diagnosis, individualized nutrition treatment plan, follow-up documentation of patient outcomes and revisions to plan in the EMR. You will lead interactive virtual presentations and group meetings with Rewind members, using pre-approved curriculum for key educational topics and exercises. You will author original content in the form of micro-lessons and blog posts around nutrition, weight management, general lifestyle and coping skills. All content will be reviewed and approved by Rewind editorial staff before publication. You will practice communication regularly with interdisciplinary teams. You will abide by Rewind policy for the proper use of patients’ protected health information. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university; Master’s Degree preferred in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Requires primary source verification. Weight management certification preferred: Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM), or Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management. At least one year work experience in an outpatient counseling setting, using medical nutrition therapy for adult patients. Deep experience with motivational interviewing and creating trust and openness with a patient population. Interest in working with patients who desire to get healthy/lose weight. Experience leading and facilitating educational group sessions. Growth mindset; strong sense of initiative and interest in collaborating with a growing team/function. Professional demeanor and ability to design a conducive environment for highly sensitive conversations with patient members. Excellent computer skills required; proficiency with Google Suite preferred (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Chat, Slides). Ability to articulate workflow business processes/improvements is helpful.
