As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Elizabeth City, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving and armed role offers the opportunity to work with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, access points, and parking areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and emergency response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
