Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments that identify clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews to formulate effective treatment plans.
- Provide both individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based methodologies tailored to each student's unique circumstances.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review service plans to achieve specific goals set in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to essential resources within the educational system and the broader community.
- Engage in program development, evaluation, and maintain comprehensive documentation for grant reporting and organizational improvement.
- Collaborate with external partners, including community organizations and government agencies, to enhance service delivery and develop innovative interventions.
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development workshops, and outreach activities that promote mental health awareness.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily serves children and adolescents within a school setting, addressing diverse emotional and psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. The LICSW will work closely with families, educators, and other mental health professionals to create a supportive network that fosters healthy development and academic success.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
- Must possess an active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and their application in a school-based context.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working within schools or nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with social justice issues, advocacy practices, and community resources is an advantage.
- Experience in developing mental health programs and conducting trainings or workshops for educators and parents.
Compensation and Benefits
