Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ALS, TNCC, CPI or equivalent, PALS or ENPC Must-Have: Candidates must possess the following skills: Compassion Sense of urgency Team player Skills in rapidly identifying Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma Description: This position is in an Emergency Department with a bed capacity of 15. The day shift consists of 3 RNs and support staff, while the night shift comprises EMT-Ps and RNs. Patient ratios during shifts are typically 1:4, depending on patient acuity. The unit is equipped with Baxter pumps, Hamilton vents, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers. Electronic medical records are managed through Meditech. Common procedures performed include splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, assessments, and documentation. Oversight of EMT-Ps is part of the role. Ideal candidates will possess strong critical thinking skills and experience with airway management and ventilators. The work environment emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork. Weekend shifts are required, every other weekend. Additional floating may occur but is not typically expected. Compliance with unit guidelines is essential, including clocking out for breaks and communicating effectively with nursing leadership.
