Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Vice President, Project & Program Management to work in New York City, New York as Program Director, CBTCYour ImpactServe in a program director role on mega rail transportation project delivered via various delivery methodsLead the delivery of multiple connected design-build CBTC transformation projects, through the design, construction and closeout phasesManage the commercial interest of the client while driving the on-time and on-budget deliveryBe familiar with NYCT (New York City Transit) or similar agency policies and proceduresResponsible for independent review of project progressPerform schedule review and analysisProvide solutions to project issuesReview and strategize improvement to key operational performance metricsSupport and empower staff and direct reports to execute project assignments on time and on budgetDevelop and maintain Project Management Plans to include Program Controls, Document Control, Design Management, Risk Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, and Environmental ComplianceDevelop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, agencies, partner firms and sub-consultants, as well as other external stakeholders such as vendors and suppliers.Lead staff development which includes mentoring, training, coaching and professional development.Accountable for overall management and successful execution of consultant’s contract to ensure performance and profitability.Create a learning culture that values innovative subject matter expertise and fosters effective and continual personal development. Develop and implement a communication strategy to increase the effectiveness of discipline-related processes, systems, and practices, and mitigating discipline-related risks. Serve as program management discipline subject matter expert to a variety of internal / external entities including Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Subcontractors, industry-related groups, and various government and community entities.Manage overall delivery team’s performance and provide inspiring leadership to assigned management and staff.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business and client needs.Who You AreMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringExtensive Design-Build project delivery experience on transit projects as a Program Manager25+ years of relevant experience.Proven experience in the delivery of public rail transportation infrastructure projects, with construction costs in excess of $1 billionProven experience in successfully managing the delivery of a major transit program consisting of multiple connected projects through design and construction. Advanced SME-level proficiency with transit and rail engineering principles, practices, process, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to engage at an executive level.Excellent computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPointExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.Ability to work in the USRequired to be in the work location 5 days per week.Preferred Qualifications:MS Degree (Engineering)PE License in New York StatePMP CertificationExperience in delivering CBTC programs managing a design-builder on behalf of the transit agencyDesign/Build or other alternative delivery experience as a program manager or program directorThis position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.WSP Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
