Employee Health Nurse - LPN

Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a part‑time Employee Health Nurse (LPN) to provide occupational health services to hospital employees. ABOUT SILVER LAKE HOSPITAL Silver Lake Hospital is a long‑term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long‑term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short‑term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3‑5 day average stay in a general hospital. Our safe and state‑of‑the‑art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients. POSITION SUMMARY The Employee Health Nurse (LPN) is responsible for maintaining employee health records, performing annual health assessments, scheduling and conducting pre‑employment appointments to medically clear new hires/students/contracted staff, and monitoring employee exposures to all communicable diseases. This position does not involve direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older and does not require age‑specific experience, specialized training and/or expertise to serve this population. QUALIFICATIONS Current NJ state LPN license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association Minimum 1 year LPN experience.
