Imperial Healthcare Center in La Mirada, California, is looking for a motivated and compassionate Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team!
We offer a welcoming work environment with a wonderful team of experienced therapists, a great facility, a convenient location, and plenty of on-site parking.

Responsibilities
-
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Assist residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
-
Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
-
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and other appropriate interventions.
-
Monitor residents' responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.

Collaborate with our rehabilitation team, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.

Educate residents and families on mobility, safety, fall prevention, and therapeutic exercises.
Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Current California PTA license.
-
Current CPR certification.
-
Strong communication, clinical skills, and teamwork abilities.

Skilled nursing facility experience preferred, but not required.
