Are you a motivated leader who enjoys developing people, driving results, and creating an exceptional shopping experience? Buche Foods is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations while supporting our team and customers. In this role, you'll partner with the Store Manager to oversee store operations, coach and develop team members, maintain merchandising and operational standards, and help ensure the store runs efficiently every day. What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Development

• Support, coach, and develop team members to achieve department and store goals.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Communicate company initiatives, expectations, and operational goals.
• Lead daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while demonstrating our Core Values.

Store Operations

• Assist with inventory management, product ordering, and merchandising.
• Maintain proper stock levels, accurate signage, and attractive product displays.
• Monitor payroll, inventory, and operational performance.
• Help ensure company policies, cash handling procedures, and inventory controls are followed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Identify operational opportunities and recommend process improvements.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Promote a positive shopping experience throughout the store.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
• Identify and correct safety hazards.
• Help maintain store equipment and operational readiness.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three years of progressive retail experience.
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
• Grocery retail experience preferred.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe® or equivalent) preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, and retail operations.
• Ability to motivate others while maintaining high operational standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stock merchandise at various shelf heights.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
