Orthopedic Surgeon Opening - High-Acuity Trauma Care North of Chicago

A growing, community-focused hospital just outside Chicago is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to join its dynamic surgical team. Position Highlights: Full-time, hospital-employed role at a 200-bed acute care, Level I adult trauma center with 24/7 emergency services Access to cutting-edge robotic-assisted and minimally invasive orthopedic surgery , advanced imaging, and dedicated inpatient rehab Treat a wide range of orthopedic cases : trauma, joint reconstructions, arthroscopy, fracture care, with flexibility for subspecialty focus Shared/rotating call coverage for orthopedic trauma and emergency consults; strong referral base from ER and community physicians Hands-on patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, performing surgical procedures and managing complex musculoskeletal conditions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and optimize outcomes Qualifications: MD or DO degree from an accredited program Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Eligible for Illinois medical licensure Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary with productivity incentives Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Malpractice insurance (with tail) Retirement plans with 401(k) options Paid time off, CME allowance, and professional development support Estimated annual total compensation: $650K-$750K (depending on experience and credentials) Community: This vibrant lakeside community offers the perfect blend of small-town charm and big-city convenience, just minutes from downtown Chicago.
