Medical AssistantProvides comprehensive clerical and patient support to providers and the patient care team by performing a variety of back-office and patient-related tasks that contribute to the delivery of high-quality care. This role focuses increasingly on administrative responsibilities, including managing work queues, processing referrals, handling phone calls, and supporting departmental workflow. The position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations within the department and assisting the care team in carrying out the medical plan of care. Integrates strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and patient-centered service to gain cooperation and build trust with patients, families/support persons, and healthcare staff. While some clinical tasks may be performed, they will be limited, and all duties are completed under the direction and supervision of a clinician.These Principal Accountabilities, Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive but are merely the most descriptive of the current job.
