Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated shift, prescribing nursing care based on the nursing process consistent with the medical plan of care.
• Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate delivery of patient care across all applicable age groups.
• Incorporates patient and family teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
• Delegates appropriate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
• Demonstrates competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire and obtains PALS certification within 1 year of hire.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQI BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or HS-ACLS or RQI ACLS) certification required at time of hire.
• PALS certification required within 1 year of hire; IV Sedation competency required within 6 months of hire.
• EPIC and Cerner experience within the last 5 years, with verifiable work history including the charting system used at each position; dates must be provided when multiple EMR systems were used at a single employer.
• Must have successfully completed at least one prior contract or served as a direct employee at a healthcare organization.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior acute care facility experience preferred.
