Project Engineer III, Missile Electronics

Basic Qualifications Post secondary degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education. Prior technical project leadership experience. You must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance to support this government contract. Job Description Join Our Team as a Project Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product in a world‑class Integrated Product Development environment. Location This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Englewood or Littleton, CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time. Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role Ensure that projects are completed on cost and schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans. Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within your area of assigned responsibility. Ensure engineering is coordinated across program and suppliers. To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need Prior technical project leadership experience. 3+ years professional experience. While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; thus US citizenship is required. Desired Skills Prior project management experience and Control Account Management (CAM) experience. Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope. Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change. Experience in project management principles (cost, schedule, technical). Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs. Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking. Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment). Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering. Demonstrated experience in Business Rhythm creation. Demonstrated presentation abilities. Demonstrated organizational skills. Leadership experience.
