Distribution Associate II / Forklift - 2nd Shift
Hiring a Distribution Associate to assist with warehouse distribution. The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, forklift, shipping / receiving experience. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. This position is 50% Forklift and 50% Packing. Not a straight Forklift operator role. LOCATION: Romeoville, IL 60446POSITION: Right to Hire
PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
HOURS: 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm M-F DUTIES:
- Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift.
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
- Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent work and education.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Basic computer skills.
ABILITIES:
- Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
- Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
