The Pharmacy Technician 2 plays a crucial role in the preparation and distribution of drug products. This position is integral in preparing prescription medications utilizing the fulfillment system to ensure accuracy and efficiency in medication delivery.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting outreach to members and physicians.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system accurately.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and handle escalated member issues effectively.
• Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide guidance on processing.
• Assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls to ensure a seamless communication process.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma
• 2-4 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation
• Basic computer skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• Familiarity with Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Customer service skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northlake, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $21.60/hr.
