Fleet MechanicLocation: 16-70 Weirfield St, Ridgewood NY 1138Pay Rate: $28 - $34 per hourEmployment Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 8-hour shifts, evening/overnightBenefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision (with company contribution), Paid Time Off, Weekly pay, 401kPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and ambulances. The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and ambulances are in optimal working condition to guarantee safety and reliability. The role requires expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and executing repairs.Responsibilities:Ensure all vehicles and ambulances are in optimal working conditions to guarantee safety and reliabilityPerform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspectionsDiagnose and repair issues ranging from electrical to mechanicalHandle all diagnostic and emission repairsDiagnose and repair HVAC issuesConduct comprehensive inspections and preventative maintenanceEnsure all equipment repairs are completedPerform the monthly vehicle safety check listsManage inventory, resources, and always plan aheadHandle vehicle logistics (towing, breakdowns, flats, etc.)Ensure successful DOT/TLC inspectionsMaintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performedEnsure all documents and noted maintenance needs are communicated to managementCoordinate with emergency medical services (EMS) teams to ensure fleet readinessPerform other tasks as assignedQualifications:4 years of experienceMust be able to use your own toolsA/C certified (If you do not have this, you must be willing to obtain within 6 months)Valid Driver's License (minimum of 2 years) with an acceptable driving record.Strong organizational and record-keeping skillsAbility to successfully work independently and as part of a teamASE certification is (preferred, but not required)Ambulance / Ambulette experience (preferred, but not required)Welding experience (preferred, but not required)EEO/AAP Statement: DocGo is an equal opportunity employer.
