We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.**Position Summary**The **Sr.** **Staff Accountant** plays a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations for FCC’s U.S. business. This position is responsible for general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close tasks, and financial reporting support across multiple operating locations. The ideal candidate is detail‐oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast‐paced, multi‐entity environment.**Key Responsibilities****General Accounting*** Prepare and post accurate journal entries for recurring and ad‐hoc transactions.* Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany activity.**Month-End Close*** Assist in timely month‐end, quarter‐end, and year‐end closing processes.* Analyze variances and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial results.* Support preparation of internal management reports and consolidated financial statements.**Operational Accounting Support*** Collaborate with AP, AR, and Treasury teams to ensure complete and accurate financial data across multiple departments.* Review coding of invoices and purchase orders to ensure proper classification* Assist with cost allocation processes as needed* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts**Compliance & Audit*** Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits* Assist with regulatory filings for sales and use tax* Assist with yearly property tax tangible tax filings* Ensure adherence to internal controls, company accounting policies with GAAP or IFRS**Other Duties*** Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements* Prepare monthly reporting for parent company* Support new systems, processes, or workflow improvements as the company continues expanding.* Complete special projects and analyses assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Leadership.**Qualifications****Education & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.* 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate environment).* Experience in multi‐location or multi‐entity accounting preferred.**Technical Skills*** Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations).* Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred, but not required).* Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.**Competencies*** Strong attention to detail and accuracy.* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.* Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.* Ability to work independently and within a team.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.**Why Join FCC Environmental Services?*** Competitive salary based on experience.* **Full benefits package**, including: + Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance + 401(k) plan + Company‐paid Life Insurance and Disability coverage + Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, and Holidays)* Training & professional development opportunities.* Be part of a rapidly growing, sustainability‐driven organization with a positive impact on communities across the U.S.*FCC Environmental Services, LLC operates in a multicultural, global environment and is a richly diverse organization operating seamlessly as one company.
