About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour and Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BCLS required, CPI preferred Must-Have: Experience in medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery care. Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5. Experience with charting system EPIC is required. Ability to float within the facility as needed. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Float Pool. The unit will deal with a variety of patient cases including medical, surgical, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. No call requirements are associated with this position. Floating within the facility will be necessary, but floating to sister facilities is not required. Candidates must be open to accommodating weekend shifts and have flexibility to meet unit needs. The unit has an interdisciplinary support structure including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Nurses are expected to manage various tasks including IV management, telemetry, wound care, and following protocols for medication administration. Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory.
