Job Duties

• Handling and moving finished products (processed meat products/salami) within a refrigerated warehouse (chill environment).
• Performing manual picking activities guided by warehouse software.
• Preparing and staging loads for the following day's shipments.
• Receiving incoming materials and placing products in the correct warehouse locations.
• Moving pallets using powered industrial forklift.
• Operating both sit-down forklifts and stand-up/reach forklifts.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Valid certification and experience for Sit-down forklift / Stand-up forklift required.
• Previous experience in warehouse/logistics operations, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
