Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech I (VASCULAR)- IP Part Time

Job Description Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report appropriate examinations. Verifies identity and informs and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient education, cooperation, and safety. Assists in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement. Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, including recording all testing information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Ensures that critical results are reported promptly and accurately, following established policy, and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicates with physicians, patients, and other center personnel, maintaining a pleasant and informative manner. Provides recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures. Enhances teamwork by showing motivation, enthusiasm, acceptance of responsibility, and personal accountability, engaging in problem solving, and mentoring others. Maintains work area clean and orderly, assisting with lab opening/closing procedures and keeping equipment clean according to Infection Control policies. Qualifications Registry through CCI or ARDMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Fluency in Rhode Island/Visual System (RVT/RVS) preferred for Vascular Tech. I positions.
