Job Details:

Contract Duration: 13 weeks with possible extensions

Unit Details
16–20 bed Medical Stepdown Unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
Patient Population

Nurses in this unit care for patients with:
Sepsis
Heart Failure
Hypertensive Emergency
Respiratory Failure
COPD
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM)
Substance Abuse
Status Epilepticus
Encephalopathy

Requirements
Active RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU or acute care experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care for stepdown/PCU-level patients
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely charting/documentation
Utilize critical thinking skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
