This full-time position (Monday–Friday, 35 hours/week, district-based) immerses you in diverse educational environments serving students from early childhood to high school. Qualifications:

• Active Colorado DOE Certification (Special Education Specialist – Visual Impairment, ages 0–21)
• Master’s or higher in special education visual impairment, or equivalent
• Background check and district fingerprinting required
• Orientation & Mobility Certification (O&M) preferred, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and interpret vision-related assessments; help determine eligibility for services
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with vision impairments, including those with additional disabilities
• Adapt materials and environments for optimal student access
• Collaborate with families, educators, and district staff; communicate progress and maintain compliance with district standards
• Complete required documentation and participate in professional activities
