Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler II for a contract opportunity in Chino, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain or related field
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly.
• Ability to read and write in English.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role as a Warehouse Packer, you will place items into boxes with the right packing materials and documentation before they are labelled and shipped. You will be part of a team which helps to deliver various types of products from life-saving personal protective equipment to microscopes for high school biology classrooms. • Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations
• Work in one or more process paths; receiving, picking, packing, or shipping
• Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures and complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials.
• In the packing department you will be expected to efficiently identify correct items for orders and pack them. Accuracy and timely packing are key to employee success in this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers). PACKING experience highly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS

• Full-Time 09:00am-05:00pm- possible 2-4 hours of OT per week.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
