Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or relevant experience in a similar role
• Proven background assisting with cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Solid understanding of sterile techniques and operating room protocols
• Ability to operate and sterilize specialized surgical equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms with all required instruments, sterile fields, and supplies
• Assist surgeons and nurses throughout surgical procedures, ensuring all needs are met promptly and efficiently
• Maintain and monitor the integrity of the sterile environment at all times
• Track and manage surgical equipment, handling cleaning and sterilization post-procedure
• Support the surgical team in pre-op and post-op patient care as needed
• Document procedures, instrument counts, and any complications accurately
