Sr Designer, Business Integration + Strategy, Inclusive Product Design [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Designer, Business Integration + Strategy, Inclusive Product Design based in the United States.

As a Senior Designer, you will help shape inclusive and socially responsible product experiences across a large, complex organization.
You will lead strategies that embed accessibility, cultural relevance, and inclusive thinking into product design and packaging.
The role combines design expertise, strategic planning, organizational change, education, and stakeholder influence.
You will collaborate with teams across the enterprise and with external experts to turn social and cultural insights into meaningful action.
You will also develop tools, learning experiences, and resources that strengthen inclusive design capabilities across teams.
This is a highly visible role for a strategic, persuasive, and collaborative leader who can balance business priorities with long-term social impact.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will help create products and experiences that better serve people across diverse identities, abilities, cultures, and life experiences.

Accountabilities

• Champion inclusive and socially responsible design practices across the organization, serving as a trusted advisor on inclusion, cultural insights, emerging trends, and social risk.
• Lead inclusive design strategies across product design and packaging, with a focus on culture and race, gender and sex, aging, and cognitive and physical accessibility.
• Develop learning experiences, tools, frameworks, and resources that strengthen cultural competency, inclusive mindsets, and anti-racist design practices.
• Provide research, insights, and strategic guidance throughout discovery, concept development, and other phases of the design process.
• Use data and measurement approaches to track progress against inclusive design objectives, learning goals, and behavioral outcomes.
• Build strong partnerships across a broad network of stakeholders and develop strategies and programs that deliver meaningful organizational and community outcomes.
• Navigate complex, matrixed environments and influence leaders and teams at multiple levels.
• Provide advocacy, clarity, insights, design direction, and operational support that enable teams and partners to succeed.
• Coach team members and stakeholders to strengthen their confidence and capabilities in inclusive design.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including affinity groups, professional organizations, academic institutions, medical experts, and community organizations.
• Connect social and cultural insights with business priorities and help drive coordinated action across relevant functions.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and community engagements while staying current on emerging trends and inclusive design practices.
• Collaborate with teams across social responsibility, multicultural marketing, risk and reputation, human resources, and related functions to align inclusive design efforts with broader organizational strategies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product design, social design, community leadership, organizational change, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience developing inclusion programs and building organizational capabilities.
• Proven experience advancing design practices within complex, matrixed, or global organizations.
• Strong understanding of inclusive design, accessibility, cultural insights, and socially responsible design principles.
• Ability to balance immediate business priorities with long-term strategic objectives.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders, build relationships, and influence decision-making across different levels and functions.
• Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling, data-informed stories.
• Strategic thinking and strong business judgment, combined with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Ability to educate, coach, and influence teams while fostering collaboration, trust, and inclusion.
• Comfort challenging established approaches, embracing change, and advocating for accessibility and inclusion initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a highly collaborative, complex, and cross-functional environment.
• Ability to work  four days per week in the office at the Downtown Minneapolis campus; this position is  not eligible for remote work .
• If working remotely from another state when permitted, employees may be subject to geographic restrictions limiting remote work in certain states to no more than 30 days per calendar year.
