We're searching for a houseperson with exceptional people skills who is enthusiastic and courteous to make sure our hotel guests have a wonderful stay. We require a multi-talented person capable of handling a wide range of duties. Responsibilities for this position include keeping the hotel's public areas clean, such as hallways, meeting rooms, and lobbies.
Additionally, you will help deliver guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and bedding, and perform any specially assigned tasks by housekeeping managers. Our ideal applicant has at least one year of housekeeping or houseperson experience, as well as a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. This is a part-time position.
Compensation:$17 per hour
Responsibilities:- Begin each shift by visiting assigned floors and collect trash, dirty linen, and other materials as instructed by management
- Restock linen supply on each floor by transporting clean linen to the housekeeping storage facilities
- Make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and linens
- Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and hallways, as well as the lobby and other workspaces
- Anticipate, listen intently, and respond quickly to visitors' requirements to provide the best quality of service
- Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills
- 1 year experience as a houseperson or housekeeper strongly desired
- This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
- Experience with a variety of cleaning products and techniques
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Located on the coastline of Hilo Bay, the Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton, is 30 miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. All rooms have free WiFi.
Guest rooms offer garden, ocean, or harbor views of Hilo Bay, Hamakua Coast, or Hilo Harbor. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and a refrigerator, and bathrooms are finished with German limestone. Suites boast a kitchenette.
The Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton, features an outdoor swimming pool and a sundeck. The Naniloa Golf Course, located within the hotel grounds and adjacent to the Grand Naniloa Hotel, offers a free round of golf daily to guests.
