Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health - Nights $20,000 Sign on bonus eligibility Schedule : 12 hours shift for full-time requiring 36 hours/week with every other weekend

More about our team The Behavioral Health unit is a 24 bed unit. What sets us apart from other units is the teamwork with all of us having the same goal: provide safe, quality, and compassionate care close to home! How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.

What we're looking for Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate's degree in nursing required. Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
