Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (occasional weekends may be required)

System One is seeking a Buyer to join our team for a contract to hire opportunity in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Provide material and freight cost estimates to support project planning
• Monitor and fulfill purchase requests in a timely manner
• Analyze supplier offers for best cost savings and delivery outcomes
• Collaborate with suppliers and project teams to resolve issues
• Maintain reporting on delivery commitments and outstanding items
• Follow up with suppliers and teams to ensure timely resolution
• Report supplier performance metrics to internal teams
• Facilitate change orders through the purchasing system
• Manage product returns and warranty exchanges
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing discrepancies
• Ensure accurate and complete communication on order status and delivery
• Accurately allocate time and costs to the appropriate project budget

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred)
• 0–2 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing Agent role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
• Experience using purchasing software or ERP systems
• Strong negotiation skills for pricing, terms, and vendor agreements
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
