Job Title: HVAC Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic with a specialization in heating systems, often referred to as a Heating Technician or Furnace/Boiler Technician. This role requires expertise in systems that generate and distribute heat within residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on heating systems including furnaces and boilers.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen refrigeration systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex system issues.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in HVAC mechanic work, particularly with furnaces and boilers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both commercial kitchen and residential systems.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on heating equipment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and residential environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Specialized certifications in heating systems or HVAC equipment are preferred.
• Experience with mechanical systems related to HVAC.

Work Environment

Work primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The role involves working in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring a diverse and engaging work experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
