Our Bozeman Specialty Clinic offers a collaborative outpatient environment where clinical excellence, integrity, and compassionate care are at the center of everything we do.Job Profile Summary:Under clinical supervision, the Medical Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to established policies, procedures, and the Logan Health MA/UAP scope of practice. This role provides both clinical and administrative support while working collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs, and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual needs of patients and families. This position supports Logan Health’s mission, vision, and values.What You’ll Do:Prepare patients for examination and treatment per clinic protocol, including obtaining and documenting histories and vital signsChart and document accurately in the electronic medical record and collect laboratory specimens as neededPrepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies based on patient needs and proceduresAssist Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians with exams and minor proceduresPerform minor procedures including suture/staple removal, dressing application, splints, and casts as directedClean and disinfect equipment according to departmental policies and infection control standardsSupport scheduling of appointments, diagnostic testing, treatments, procedures, and surgeriesAssist with patient registration, co-pay collection, and prior authorizations as neededCollect and route patient information from phone calls and patient portal messages to appropriate clinical staffParticipate in required meetings, committees, and departmental initiatives as requestedSupport process improvement and/or risk management activities under leadership directionMay perform scribe duties (with approved training), including accurate transcription of medical documentation, proofreading, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of patient recordsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and clinical processesMaintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadershipQualifications:Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential requiredMinimum of one (1) year experience in a practice setting preferredCurrent Healthcare Provider CPR preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientationMedical office experience and medical terminology training preferredWorking knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, basic laboratory values, medical terminology, aseptic technique, infection control, and medical equipment preferredKnowledge of HIPAA, patient rights, regulatory standards, and confidentiality requirements preferredStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing workload environmentAbility to remain professional, positive, and adaptable under pressureExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providersAbility to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacyStrong commitment to teamwork and maintaining confidentialityProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems as requiredAbility to act with integrity, kindness, and empathy while promoting high-quality outcomes and patient-centered careScope of Practice:What We Offer:A supportive, team-based specialty clinic environmentCompetitive compensationFlexible PRN scheduling based on clinic needsOpportunities for continued learning and professional developmentA chance to support high-quality specialty care in a mission-driven organization## **Shift:**Variable (United States of America)**Schedule:**Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program.
