Procurement Analyst

Adecco is currently assisting a global leader in consumer products in their search for a Procurement Category Analyst. Location: Downers Grove, IL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite Tuesday & Wednesday, 3 days remote) Pay Rate: $30.00–$34.00/hour Key Responsibilities Manage the end‑to‑end raw material and supplier approval process, including collecting, reviewing, and validating required documentation needed to establish new raw materials within internal systems. Coordinate new item setup by gathering supplier documentation, tracking approvals, and ensuring all required information is complete and accurate. Lead weekly project meetings focused on raw material approvals, supplier status updates, facility approvals, samples, and process improvements. Partner cross‑functionally with Procurement, Research & Development, Legal, Quality Assurance, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate timely raw material approvals. Monitor project timelines, identify potential roadblocks, and escalate issues appropriately to keep projects moving forward. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and approval processes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external supplier partners. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, supply chain, category management, or supplier management functions. Experience coordinating new item setup, supplier onboarding, raw material approvals, or similar documentation‑driven processes. Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams including Procurement, R&D, Legal, and Quality Assurance. Ability to identify issues, exercise sound judgment, and escape when appropriate. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and formulas. Experience working with ERP systems is preferred. Bonus: Exposure to SAP is highly preferred.
