About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Valuations to lead and manage the valuation process for its private market investments, including private equity, venture capital, and private credit. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading monthly and quarterly valuations, building and reviewing various valuation models, analyzing assumptions and market data, and preparing comprehensive valuation reports and presentations. This role also involves partnering with investment teams to assess portfolio company performance, managing relationships with auditors and third-party valuation firms, and staying abreast of market trends and regulatory changes that impact valuations. The VP of Valuations will be expected to improve valuation policies, processes, and governance, and to have a strong background in financial modeling and valuation methods. Applicants for the VP of Valuations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an MBA or CFA being preferred, and a minimum of 5-10 years' of valuation experience, particularly in the context of private market investments. The role requires a candidate with a deep knowledge of valuation methods, experience in leading valuation processes, and a proven track record of supporting audits. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to be detail-oriented and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The VP of Valuations will play a critical role in the company's growth and must be adept at improving and implementing best practices in valuation.
