Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Cardiothoracic Surgery

Key Responsibilities Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, thoracic resections, and minimally invasive techniques (based on facility needs). Provide pre-operative evaluations, surgical planning, and post-operative management. Conduct inpatient consults, ICU rounds, and follow-up care for cardiac and thoracic patients. Collaborate with cardiac anesthesiology, perfusion teams, intensivists, cardiology, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Interpret diagnostic studies such as echocardiograms, CT scans, cardiac catheterization results, and pulmonary function tests. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
