Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-Call Required (up to 4 call shifts per 4-week period) | Weekend Requirement (up to one working weekend shift per 4-week period) | Holiday Requirement (at least one holiday period required)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scrub and circulating roles across a wide range of surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Level I Trauma Center operating room environment
• Collaborate within a nurse-driven surgical team consisting of Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as needed during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification
• Radiation Badge required (provided by agency)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the OR setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic teaching facility
