Job Description

Automotive / Light Diesel Technician

About D&D Auto

Founded by transforming and rebranding an existing local tire shop in 2013, D&D Auto has grown into Wetumpka’s premier destination for complete automotive care. In 2017, we expanded our facility to better serve our community, adding top-tier equipment and extending our services to include comprehensive light-duty diesel repair alongside general domestic and import automotive service. If you are a hard-working tech who is ready to move away from chaotic corporate shops and want to work in an environment where your production is rewarded and your weekends are your own, we want to talk to you.

We operate out of a modern, well-equipped shop featuring:

• Five 2-post lifts
• One 4-post lift
• A dedicated subframe lift
• A state-of-the-art, in-ground flush alignment rack

We treat our team like family, offer solid stability, and provide the tool infrastructure you need to do the job right. Because our community trusts us, we are growing fast! We are currently bringing on a second service advisor to keep the bays full, and we are looking for two skilled Technicians to join our crew.

What We Offer

• Competitive Flat-Rate Pay: Highly rewarding tiered bonus structures that pay out consistently when you produce.
• Benefits Package: Health insurance plans and paid holidays to support you and your family.
• No Weekends: Enjoy your time off with a predictable Monday through Friday schedule.
• Advanced Tooling: Access to professional diagnostic platforms, including Snap-on scanners, Identifix, and ProDemand.
• Modern Workflow: We use Tekmetric for streamlined digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) and zero-hassle repair orders.
• Professional Growth: Paid training opportunities to sharpen your skills and keep you ahead of the curve.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a wide variety of passenger gas vehicles and light-duty diesel trucks.
• Execute precise steering, suspension, and wheel alignment work utilizing our flush-mount alignment rack.
• Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) through our shop management software to accurately communicate vehicle health to our advising team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in your assigned bay.
• Collaborate closely with service advisors and fellow team members to ensure efficient turn times and absolute accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive technician (experience with light-duty diesel platforms like Powerstroke, Cummins, or Duramax is a major plus).
