The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Sales and Estimating Professional to focus on client consultation, scope development, cost estimating and closing deals for home repairs, small remodeling projects, and home maintenance plans. If you love and excel at developing scope and budgets for home repair, maintenance and remodeling projects, crunching the numbers, winning the job, and earning trust to be the client’s single call on their next project, this is a great job for you.

This position is focused on the front-end of the business. You will act be the bridge between our prospective clients and our field Project Managers accurately diagnosing home repair or remodeling needs, developing profitable project budgets, and successfully securing the contract – setting our field teams up to execute high quality results on budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Consultative Sales & Diagnostics: Meet with high-end prospective clients to understand their vision, evaluate residential remodeling and maintenance needs, and develop comprehensive, clear project scopes.
• Estimating: Collaborate with approved subcontractors and material suppliers to construct accurate, competitive, and profitable cost and time estimates.
• Project Presentation: Professionally present remodeling, repair, and membership plan proposals to sophisticated clientele, answer questions, gain confidence, and close sales.
• Coordination: Hand-off of won projects to our Project Managers and field teams, providing everything they need to meet customer expectations and profit goals.
• Data Integrity: Utilize company-provided estimating, CRM, and record-keeping applications with curiosity and enthusiasm.
• Cost Control: Review and code vendor/subcontractor quotes and review client invoices to ensure project costing accuracy.
• Emergency Readiness: Participate in a 24/7 rotation responding to occasional, crucial, member client emergencies.

Position Requirements

• Deep Construction Knowledge: 15+ years of residential remodeling, repair, and carpentry experience, for the knowledge required to accurately estimate projects involving all major building trades.
• Proven Sales & Closing Track Record: 10+ years of dedicated sales and estimating experience specifically with high-end, single-family homes.
• Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor  clientele.
• Data & Software Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office (Excel/Word) and mobile apps. Direct experience with QuickBooks Online and Jobber is a significant advantage.
• Local Proximity: Residence within a short, manageable commute to Hopewell, NJ (Princeton area) for frequent client site visits.
