OSP Construction Inspector

We are seeking a OSP Construction Inspector to join our team in Fresno, CA . In this role you will conduct daily operations with Construction contractors to ensure timely delivery of Middle Mile Fiber Optic deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform walkouts pre/post-construction.
• Verify as-builts.
• Troubleshoot any build-out issues in the field.
• Verify that subcontractors have the necessary PPE gear to perform work.
• Identify permitting requirements as needed.
• Communicate with any customers in the path of construction.
• Complete daily quality control audits, verify field measurements/maps (as-builts).
• Provide weekly reports to management on construction activity.
• Follow-up with city municipalities regarding permitting issues.
• standards and 811 safe digging requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Experience

• 3+ years of Hands-on Experience in Middle Mile fiber optic construction
• Impressive ability to organize and prioritize projects.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic construction practices.
• Computer proficiency and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools to create, manage, and present data and report to various management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally and in writing.
• ARC GIS/ESRI Background preferred.
• Ability to travel and work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, etc., in all seasons
• Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license required
• Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs regularly
• Manual dexterity to operate drilling controls and hand tools
• Visual acuity for operating and monitoring Projects and tracking systems
• Tolerance for working around noise, dust, and heavy equipment
