Wound Care Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Wound Care Nurse (LPN) to provide specialized wound care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide treatment for resident wounds

• Perform wound care treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols

• Monitor wounds for healing, infection, and changes in condition

• Develop and maintain accurate wound care documentation

• Communicate changes in residents' wound status to the appropriate clinical team members and providers

• Assist with developing and implementing individualized wound care plans

• Monitor and help implement pressure injury prevention measures

• Ensure wound care supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained

• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity and consistency of wound care

• Educate staff and residents, as appropriate, regarding wound prevention and care

• Follow all applicable infection control, regulatory, and facility requirements

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in the State of Maryland

• Previous wound care experience preferred

• Knowledge of wound assessment, treatment, and pressure injury prevention

• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and providers

• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
