Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000 annually

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant with at least five years of experience in liability defense to provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will have experience managing legal files, preparing correspondence and court documents, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that deadlines are met in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support to attorneys.
• Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Maintain electronic and physical case files and update case management systems.
• Track court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other important dates.
• Schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and client appointments.
• Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and insurance representatives.
• Assist with discovery organization, document production, and trial preparation.
• Manage incoming calls, emails, calendars, and other administrative responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in liability defense.
• Familiarity with insurance defense litigation and court filing procedures.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Excellent proofreading, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
