Production Operator – Optical & Electronic Assembly

Automation Personnel Services is seeking dependable, energetic, and curious  Production Operators for a fast-growing, forward-thinking technology company based in Sugar Land, Texas. You will be working for a company that designs and manufactures advanced optical products - laser components, optical transceivers, and networking equipment - powering data centers, telecom networks, cable broadband, and other high-speed communications.

Pay Rate

Starting at $16.00 per hour, with rapid advancement potential. Candidates who bring additional skills and experience may be considered for higher-paying positions as opportunities become available.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Production Operator Duties and Responsibilities

·Organize and process work orders while carefully following work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.

·Perform production and assembly tasks and operate manufacturing equipment manually or with automatic devices after training.

·Use hand tools and precision equipment, including microscopes and tweezers, as required for assigned workstations.

·Monitor equipment and processes for irregularities and promptly report concerns to a supervisor.

·Inspect components and finished products for quality, separate defective parts for review, and support failure analysis.

·Manage returned-material inventory, maintain accurate records, and keep work areas organized.

·Follow cleanroom and lab requirements, practice safe work habits, participate in cross-training, and complete additional duties as assigned.

Production Operator Qualifications and Requirements

·High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

·No prior manufacturing experience required; training is provided, but previous assembly, electronics, optical, semiconductor, or cleanroom experience is a plus.

·Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, with basic computer and data-entry skills preferred.

·Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·Strong manual dexterity and the ability to perform precise, repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods.

·Curious, adaptable, dependable, and willing to learn new processes and equipment.

·Commitment to quality, safety, accuracy, and reliable attendance, plus the ability to follow cleanroom rules, including wearing required garments, closed-toe shoes, and proper hygiene standards.
