Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something! We are looking for an engineer who can architect the next generation display technology for various Apple products. In this unique position, you will have first-hand access to novel display technologies, and will be responsible for characterizing and optimizing electro-optical performance, and pushing the limits of panel technology, proposing compensation algorithms for SoC or other silicons, prototyping the target performance in executive demo, and supporting product development to mass production. An average day in this wide-dynamic position could include hands‑on characterization of electro‑optical performance, scripting for lab‑level measurement automation, image processing for data analysis, proposing design iterations for panel or new algorithms, working with various vendors and cross‑functional teams to align the calibration flow and strategies, system integration of the proposal(s), prototype demo for management, presentation and documentation of the proposals for cross‑functional teams.
