Seminary Now Church & Ministry Partnership Specialist
Full-time
Northern Seminary
Seminary Now is an online theological education platform offering 90+ streaming video courses taught by seminary professors, built around a short-form (12-minute) lesson format with certificates, CEUs, leader guides, and branded church landing pages. In partnership with institutions such as Northern Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary, Seminary Now brings seminary-level teaching to churches, ministry leaders, and networks across North America. Through church subscriptions and denomination- and network-level partnerships, we equip congregations and ministry organizations with group access to that library. We serve the way ministry relationships actually work: trust comes before the transaction—and continues well after it.
The Church & Network Partnership Specialist will support church and ministry partners across their entire journey with Seminary Now and Northern Seminary’s Church Learning Initiative—from outbound and inbound lead development and the first conversation, through onboarding, ongoing engagement, and renewal. This relationship-first role blends sales support with partner success, including proactive outbound outreach and accountability for activity and outcome metrics. It is ideal for someone who is warm, organized, and self-motivated, who enjoys being a dependable point of contact for pastors and ministry leaders, and who takes real satisfaction in seeing churches flourish with the resources they have chosen.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Support & Partnership Development
Build the top of the partnership pipeline through proactive outbound outreach to churches, denominations, and ministry networks, scheduling discovery conversations for the Director of Church and Network Solutions.
Review qualified inbound leads in HubSpot on a biweekly basis to identify candidates for church, denomination, and network partnerships, and route them to the appropriate next step.
Respond promptly and warmly to inbound interest, guiding church leaders toward a real conversation about their discipleship and leadership-development goals rather than simply a payment link.
Handle smaller, routine partnerships directly—including single-course purchases for groups and standard small-church subscriptions—and tee up larger church, denomination, and network opportunities for the Director of Church and Network Solutions to lead and close.
Prepare for partner conversations, follow up on interest, and keep open opportunities organized and moving so nothing slips.
Once a payment link is sent, monitor the transaction through completion and nurture the prospect to a finished sign-up.
Onboarding & Engagement
Help new partners get set up and off to a strong start, coordinating with the group-account setup process.
Drive adoption by ensuring churches know how to use the platform, leader guides, and resources—and are actively putting them to work in their congregations.
Stay in regular, proactive contact with active partners as the friendly, reliable point of contact for questions and subscription changes.
Surface and share ways partners can get more value from their subscription.
Retention & Renewal
Own the renewal experience: reach out ahead of renewal dates, keep partners subscribed, reduce churn, and pursue win-backs.
Watch for signs that a partner may be disengaging, and step in early.
Identify natural opportunities for partners to grow with us (e.g., moving from a single-course purchase to a full church subscription, or from a pilot program to a churchwide or network-wide implementation).
Gather partner feedback and bring recurring themes back to the team.
Systems, Reporting & the Church Learning Initiative
Use HubSpot daily to log activity, update records, and manage tasks and follow-ups, keeping partner and pipeline information current and reliable so the team can see where things stand.
Manage and track payment transactions and progress in HubSpot, working across Uscreen and the broader Seminary Now technology stack.
Track and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly B2B partnership metrics.
Work closely with the Director of Church and Network Solutions to develop and implement Northern Seminary’s Church Learning Initiative.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; at least 1 year of experience in sales support, customer success, account management, or a comparable relationship-driven role (ministry, nonprofit, or mission-driven experience is a strong plus).
Working comfort with a CRM (HubSpot preferred); day-to-day proficiency and willingness to learn matter more than deep technical expertise.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Self-motivated to fill the top of the funnel and to meet and exceed activity and outcome metrics.
Genuinely warm, responsive, and dependable—people trust you and enjoy working with you.
Organized and proactive; follows up consistently and does not let things fall through the cracks.
Familiarity with and respect for the church and ministry world, including church leadership dynamics and how churches evaluate, budget for, and adopt resources.
Clear, warm, concise written communication, and confidence in phone and video conversations with pastors, staff, and denominational leaders.
Ability to manage multiple partner relationships and priorities effectively within a part-time schedule.
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and across denominational traditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with subscription or membership products where onboarding and retention matter.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, or general proficiency with technology.
Familiarity with denominational or church-network structures.
Experience helping improve an onboarding or renewal process.
Familiarity with Christian higher education and theological education.
Working Conditions
Remote; home office environment with the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
May require sitting for extended periods of time.
Use of computer: may be looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Remote work requires access to Teams and email as the primary means of communication.
