POSITION: Quality Specialist II
LOCATION: Jupiter, FL STATUS: Hourly non-exempt JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for ensuring the conformance of manufactured product and documentation to established standards and criteria. The Quality Specialist will support the collection, review, maintenance and analysis of PSM's product quality data to help continually drive improvements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:- Review Acceptance Data Package (ADP) submissions from suppliers and the PSM workshop for conformance, perform virtual product movements in ERP and log results in PSM's quality database. Work with purchasing, engineering, and quality to resolve issues as required.
- Review non-conformance reports (NCR) for completeness and correctness. Route, approve, and log NCRs and communicate dispositions to stakeholders as necessary.
- Support certificate of conformance (C of C) generation and drive resolution of issues identified to ensure outgoing product conforms to PSM and customer requirements
- Participate in user acceptance testing and training for new quality systems as required
- Gather and organize product measurement results and other quality data
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, or GED equivalent required
- Associate Degree or higher-level education preferred
- Internal Auditor Training (Process Audits, ISO9001, ISO14001) preferred
- Relevant ASQ training/certification (CQA, CQIA, CSSGB, etc.) preferred
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix
- 2+ years of experience in industry with specific skills related to quality inspection, quality systems and documentation. Prior experience working under formal environments such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP or other quality programs preferred.
- Must be a detailed oriented, high energy, self-starter with the ability to drive the successful completion of responsibilities within specified time frames
- Good planning, organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel
- Systematic way of working, ability to maintain structure and systems
- Strong quality and customer focus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English, spoken & written
- Experience within Gas Turbine or Power Generation industry preferred.
