Base Compensation Range: $63,000 - $78,750
*In addition, you qualify for:

• Annual bonus opportunity of 10% based on company performance

Job Summary


The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the Company, ensuring that the organization has the necessary supplies to operate efficiently. Evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels.


Duties/Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Supplier Evaluation:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting market research to find the best options for quality, price, and delivery.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and performance.

• Purchasing and Order Management:
  • Execute purchase orders in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in quantity, price, and delivery terms.
  • Monitor and manage order status, resolving any issues related to order fulfillment.

• Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable conditions for the company.
  • Review and approve contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and take corrective action as needed.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze purchasing data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing processes.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and production) to understand purchasing needs and align procurement strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support product development and project execution.

• Market Research:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers to enhance purchasing strategies.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to build supplier relationships and gather market intelligence.

• Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and work to develop mitigation strategies.

Experience/Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.

Knowledge and Skillsets Required

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
