Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy Laboratory procedures in San Francisco, California. This position involves providing outpatient endoscopy services, including pre- and post-procedure patient care, sedation management, and assisting with advanced endoscopic techniques. Candidates are required to bring their California Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day.Job Details:
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CA RN License, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate, American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate, minimum 2 years of experience with more than 1 year of outpatient Endoscopy Center experience, ability to float to other UCSF Endoscopy sites
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or II experience, previous charge nurse experience, prior teaching hospital experience, recent travel within 12 months
- Skills: Administering Conscious Sedation, Airway management, Balloon Dilators, Colonoscopy, Disposables grounding pads, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Esophageal varices and banding, Forceps, Foreign body equipment, Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Monitoring Conscious Sedation, Obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, use of Propofol, Provation, Recovery of conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care, Reversal agents, Sclerotherapy, Scrubbing, Specimen handling and labeling, Starting and maintaining IVs, Versed
- Additional Information: Ability to float to other UCSF Endoscopy sites; participation in interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Patient Census: 50-60 cases daily
- Number of Rooms: 6
- Travel Experience: Not required
