Mechanical Drafter

Job Title : Drafter/Designer

Location : Irvine, CA 92618

Duration : 6+ Months

Pay Rate : $30/HR On W2

Job Summary:

Work with general supervision and as a team player to perform routine drafting for mechanical, electrical and/or electronic components using both 3D and 2D CAD software and word processing for support documents. Apply knowledge and skills of procedures and techniques to create and modify documents that form a technical data package.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate new documents and revise existing documents for mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components and support documents.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training. Post high school education courses in mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic drafting, dimensioning and tolerancing or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training is required. Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 is a plus.

Mechanical, electrical and/or electronic design knowledge is preferred.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB:

Personal computer using SolidWorks, SOLIDWORKS PDM, AutoCAD, Visio Excel and Word.

Copier/printer and plotter.
