Role: Personal Care Aide responsible for providing basic personal care and support to clients in a home care setting. Responsibilities: Follow care plans, complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets, assist with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal prep, feeding, oral hygiene, and transfer assistance using equipment like walkers and wheelchairs. Maintain safety and infection control protocols, ensure a clean and safe environment, and respect client confidentiality and privacy. Support clients with self-help activities and encourage independence. Notify supervisors of any changes in client condition or safety concerns, and report any abuse, neglect, or privacy violations immediately. Assist with secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, within scope of practice. Only assist with medication self-administration, never administer medications directly. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma preferred; minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references; must be 18 or older. Ability to read, write, follow care plans, and perform basic personal care tasks.
