QPS Employment Group has a great Quality Control Technician position at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This is a night shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Inspect products throughout production to ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete Quality Control (QC) audits during the shift, typically 3 to 4 audits per shift.
• Perform Start of Job and Start of Shift Quality Validation Checklists.
• Collect and maintain quality samples as required.
• Provide break coverage for Machine Operators and help ensure machine coverage throughout the shift.
• Generate labels and pallet tags in coordination with Scheduling, Purchasing, and Production leadership.
• Assist with inventory counts and floor count activities.
• Sign off on pallet tags and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Update daily production logs and quality records.
• Assist the Production Supervisor in identifying and resolving quality concerns.
• Support the investigation and resolution of machine continuity and production issues.
• Promote and uphold the company's core values.

Quality Control Technician Requirements:

• Ability to follow established quality procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding product quality.
• Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and production documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to identify quality issues and communicate findings effectively.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to perform visual inspections of products with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move production samples, labels, and materials.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around production equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive quality checks and documentation tasks.
